Sporting activities at the Seitenalm

Families can try out a wide variety of sports with us – often ones that aren’t readily available on their doorstep at home. It’s not about performance or perfection. It’s about giving things a go, sharing the experience and having lots of fun being active.

Climbing & Bouldering

Climbing calls on both body and mind in equal measure. Which holds should I use? Where should I place my foot? How do I distribute my weight? Our climbing wall is seven metres high and offers three different routes. Safety is ensured using the Topas belay device, following a safety briefing and with a hip harness.

Bouldering involves trying out short routes at low heights without a rope. It’s all about trying, failing, starting again and finding your own solution step by step.

On the court

Tennis

On our outdoor clay court, a spot of exercise quickly turns into quality family time: parents versus children, siblings going head-to-head, or simply a few relaxed rallies together.

Rackets and balls are available to borrow free of charge, and the tennis court can be booked also free of charge.

Fast-paced rallies

Table tennis

Fast-paced, fun and suitable for almost all ages: table tennis helps develop reaction times, concentration, ball control and hand-eye coordination.

It can be played indoors or outdoors – in pairs or in a lively group during a ‘Lauferl’.

On the pitch

Soccer

A real classic that never fails to entertain. On our soccer pitch, families can play a game together, organise mini-matches or test their accuracy with a spot-kick challenge. Balls can be borrowed directly from reception.

Beach volleyball

Barefoot in the sand, a ball, a net – and you’re instantly transported to a holiday. Beach volleyball combines exercise, team spirit and loads of fun. Even just a few rallies are often enough for a wonderfully spontaneous family moment.

It’s all about concentration

Archery

Draw the bow, steady yourself, aim, release—and hopefully hit the target.

Archery requires concentration, patience, and body awareness. After a safety briefing, the range can be reserved free of charge.

Shooting Hoops

Basketball

Shooting a few hoops, trying out your technique, or starting a quick game together: basketball is dynamic and versatile – and just as much fun whether played solo, one-on-one, or as part of a team.
