Hiking Bus

The Salzburg Alpine Trail makes hiking easy: With the hiking bus, you can comfortably reach starting points that are often not accessible by car. This shortens the ascent, and even leisurely hikers can reach attractive destinations.

Numerous managed alpine huts invite you to stop by with a wonderful view. The food on our alpine pastures is a poem.

Dachstein Glacier

The Dachstein, steeped in legend and with its three peaks, is truly the king of the mountains. Just a stone's throw from the hotel, you can experience glacier fun all year round – with a breathtaking view of the Salzburg and Styrian mountain world. At 2,996 meters altitude, you feel very close to the sky.

The Sky Walk

You should be free from dizziness because this path is a real thrill. The 250-meter vertical rock face of the Hunerkogel is right beneath your feet. That shoots adrenaline into your blood.

Dachstein Ice Palace

A fascinating ice world in the heart of the Dachstein glacier. In the Ice Palace, sturdy footwear and appropriate warm clothing are required.

On the Planai

The Hopsiland

The Planai Hopsiland, the highest playground in Styria, delights families with numerous varied attractions.

The approximately 1.5-kilometer-long, stroller-friendly circular trail starts directly at the mountain station of the Planai cable car. Along the route, you follow the tracks of Hopsi and discover, among other things, swings, slides, climbing elements, a ball track, and a water world of its own that provides refreshing coolness on warm summer days.

A special highlight is the oversized wooden piste machine – one of Hopsi's favorite stations and an exciting experience for little explorers.

Salt Mine in Hallein

The Salt Worlds at Dürnberg near Hallein are the tunnels of wealth for the city and state of Salzburg. In the oldest visitor mine in the world, you enter the over 2,500-year-old history of the white gold of earlier centuries.

Discover the mysterious world of the miners who carved kilometer-long tunnel labyrinths into the mountain with their hands. Today, young and old guests experience adventure, knowledge, and fun up close. The salt mine is open all year round and in all weather conditions.

Night watchman

Night watchmen in Radstadt – a stroll through the Middle Ages: History has left many traces in Radstadt, which are to be discovered between old city walls, churches, crypts, and monasteries. A touch of this past surrounds visitors when they are "on tour" with the Radstadt night watchman.

Paul Hofhaimer Days

Since 1987, the "Paul Hofhaimer Days" take place for one week each June. It is a festival for old and contemporary music. By practicing old and contemporary music and singing sacred music literature, efforts are made to keep the legacy of Paul Hofhaimer alive and vibrant in Radstadt.

Museums in Radstadt

In the local history museum "Schloss Lerch", the historical story from the surroundings is brought back to life. In the Capuchin Tower, the peasant bourgeoisie is revived. Tools from past times as well as kitchen utensils are on display. A highlight is the exhibited Krampus masks. The handcrafted wooden art pieces are showcased annually at the beginning of Advent during traditional Krampus runs.

Bike Marathon

Radstadt's Amadé Bike Marathon – every year in May. With 98 and 176 kilometers, the already legendary bike marathon is a great challenge for both experienced cyclists and marathon beginners.

Experience Salzburg

Craft Market

Craftsmanship between tradition and modernity
Craftsmanship between craft and art

Under this motto, the annual craft market takes place on the first weekend in September at the Radstadt town square and in the streets leading to the town square in all weather conditions.

Krämermarkt (Trader's Market)

Radstadt merchants and craftsmen from the region present and sell local products from their own production. Of course, musical accompaniment as well as delicacies from farm products of the regional cuisine must not be missing.

Open-Air Cinema

In the beautiful courtyard of the courthouse in Radstadt, weekly open-air cinema screenings with current films take place.

Summit Brunch

Takes place every Sunday at the Radstadt Hut with live music.

Vintage Tractor Meeting

In July, all tractor enthusiasts meet for a joint ride on Radstadt's local mountain – the Rossbrand. You can admire and marvel at the tractors during the presentation at the town square in Radstadt.

Solstice Fires

In June, the solstice fires are lit on the surrounding mountain peaks.

Children's Festival

Every 2 years in mid-July, the "Mega Children's Festival" takes place throughout the entire city center of Radstadt. Many fun attractions and games are already waiting for your family.

Dumpling Festival

The 8 innkeepers of Schernbergstrasse in Radstadt invite you every summer – on the last weekend of July – to the traditional Dumpling Festival within the walls of the historic mountain town. The selection is large, offering around 20 different varieties from smoked meat, crackling and liver dumplings to various fruit dumplings as well as ice cream and marzipan dumplings. Musical accompaniment for convivial hours is of course not missing.

Guard Festival

The Radstadt Citizen Guard warmly invites all guests and locals to the annual Guard Festival on the first weekend in August. From Friday to Sunday, there is a festival tent operation with live music and the famous Guard chicken. Children are also taken care of – a small fairground invites to play.

Mountain Festival at Rossbrand

In wonderful weather and with the best view, the big mountain festival at Rossbrand takes place annually. After the mountain mass with musical accompaniment, it becomes a great mountain experience.
