Our playground for little & big explorers

From mid-October a completely redesigned play area awaits you at Seitenalm – created for families looking for more than just a swing. Our new playground features age-appropriate zones for toddlers, older children, and even space for shared play with parents and grandparents. Whether it's climbing, balancing, or discovering creatively – children here can experience adventures with all their senses.

The thoughtfully designed concept supports your children's motor and social development while also offering retreats for parents: while the little ones play and learn, you can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Ideal for little explorers, the zip line and carousel will ensure smiles and unforgettable memories. With a focus on safety and fun, they're the perfect addition to your stay – even in winter.

Low ropes course at the edge of the forest

Right at the edge of the forest, near the Witch's House and our witch Lilly Schwefeldampf, a new little adventure awaits our guests: the Seitenalm low ropes course.

At over 10 varied stations, children can playfully train their balance, coordination, dexterity, and body awareness. Courage, concentration, and stamina are required – but above all, a great deal of enjoyment of movement in nature.

The new low ropes course is an additional adventure activity at the edge of the forest and is easily accessible in about 5 minutes on foot via the Witch's House Trail.

Who dares to visit the witch’s house?

It’s now even more fun to walk up from the Seitenalm to the witch’s house on the 4 seasons trail!

Did you know that the four seasons have a particular significance for us here at the Seitenalm? It’s not only because the hotel is open in all four seasons, but also because we are four sisters here at the Seitenalm. So we created this magical trail for you. The trail is magic because it leads you to our witch’s house and because each season has its own magic.

Sand playhouse

A mountain full of sand for digging, building, excavating and shovelling. The large sand playhouse is covered to ensure that the sand retains its high quality and that you’re protected if it rains.

The sand playhouse covers an area of 10 m³ and is filled with 3 truckloads of sand.

Water playground

The water playground is a true paradise for all age groups. With a lighthouse, water wheels, water jets, whirlpools, a water tower, tricky locks and an interactive water crank, there is something for every child to discover and experience.

Parents can comfortably watch their children romp around the large outdoor playground from the sun terrace.

The huge climbing tower is also nearby. Right next to the beach volleyball court, you can climb to your heart's content.

4-section giant trampoline & bouncy castle

Reach for the skies and enjoy four times the fun: on our 4-section giant trampoline, guests of all ages can jump, laugh and burn off energy to their heart’s content.

In addition, there is a bouncy castle on the Seitenalm grounds – for guaranteed jumping fun.
