Paul-Hofhaimer days
Annual Paul Hofheimer days
Since 1987 the „Paul Hofhaimer-days" take place during one week in June. It is a festival for music from the past and modern music. By making modern music and music from the past and by singing hymns the inheritance of Paul Hofhaimer in Radstadt is honoured and kept alive.
Museums in Radstadt
In the regional museum „Schloss Lerch" the hisotry of the region can be experienced again. In the "Kapuzinerturm" the farming bourgeoise comes to life with ancient agricultural tools as well as ktichen utenstils to admire.
The exhibited Krampuss-masks are a highlight. The handmade wooden works of art are worn and showed during the annual start of the Advent period during traditional Krampuss processions.
Bike marathon
18th Radstädter Amadé bike marathon - May 22th 2011
With 98 and 176 km, the Amadé bike marathon, which is organized on May 22th 2011 for the 18th time already, is a challenge for professional and advanced bikers as well as for beginning marathon bikers, especially adapted to the conditions of the early bike-season.

On the road with the "walking bus"
The "Salzburger Almenweg" would like to make it the tourists as easy as possible with the bus programme. The startging point for a mountain tour often cannot be reached by car anymore. The walking bus brings you to the starting point in the valleys, from where you can start to climb the mountains right away. But also for the more recreative walkers, the bus offers the perfect solution for attractive tours without long climbs.
The Salzburger Land is a real paradise for young and old walkers and hikers of all levels. Since 2008, the entire Salzburger Land has been uniformly singposted with yellow signs. Clear signposting makes it possible for everyone to find their way. All walking maps are brought up to date in accordance with this new system.
The fragrance of flowering alpine meadows, the clear mountain lkes, the breathtaking panorama of the Salzburger mountain world and many cheerful alpine huts await you.

On this pretext, the annual handmade art market takes place on the market square and in the streets in all weathers.
Grocery market
Grocers from Radstadt und handicraftsmen from the region present and sell local, home-made or home grwon products. Of course it won't lack in mucical accompaniment as well as delicacies from the regional kitchen.
Open-air cinema
On the beautiful inner courtyard of the courthouse in Radstadt open-air movie-showings of current films take place every week.
Farmers' fall
Since fourteen years already, the farmers' fall is one of the regular parts of the entire autumnal Salzburger Land. The country events take place in all municipalities and you can join the life of the inhabitants of Salzburg during the many traditional festivities.

Festive events in Radstadt
- Morning drink on the peak every Sunday in the Radstädter Hütte (Radstadt Hut) with live music
- Midsummer fire in June - on the surrounding moutain peaks the midsummer fires are lighted.
- Oldtimer tractor meeting in July all tractor lovers meet for a joint ride on the home mountain of Radstadt - the Rossbrand. All tractors can be admired during the presentation on the market square in Radstadt.
- Kids' party
Every 2 years the "Mega-kids party" takes place in Radstadt mid-July. in the entire town centre. In 2012 Mickey Mouse and Co. come to Radstadt again and they will bring lots of nice attractions with them.
„The entire town is one giant plyaground!" - Knoedel party
The 8 innkeepers of the Schernbergstrasse in Radstadt invite you every Summer - in the last weekend of July - for the traditional "Knoedel party" within the town walls of the historic moutain city - for the 29th time already. The selection is extensive - over 20 different kinds - from smoke-dried geef, dripping- and liver knoedels and several fruit knoedels to ice cream and marzipan knoedels - are offered. Musical accompaniment for some cheerful hours may not lack of course. - Guards party
The vigilante patrol of Radstadt invistes all guests and locals to the annual guards party in the first weekend of August. From Friday to Sunday there is a marquee with live music and the famous "Gardehendl". Children will have a good time as well - a small kermis invites them to play. - Mountain party on the Rossbrand
With the most wonderful weather and a great view, the big moutain party on the Rossbrand - the home mountain of Radstadt - takes place every year. After the moutain Mass, celebrated by local priest Heribert Jäger and with musical accompaniment of the "Bürgermusikkapelle Radstadt" it will become a nice mountain experience.

New attraction in Sportwelt amadé
"Therme Amadé"
In October 2010, the new bathing-, sauna- and leisure complex for the entire family in Altenmarkt/Zauchensee will open his doors. At a surface of over 30.000m² 11 different pools in the Therme and in the wellness- and sauna complex are waiting to be discovered.
A nerve-racking highlight is Austrian first looping chute-the-chute with rocket start and a 8 mtrs long free fall. But also the pool with wave machine, 2 beach entrances, waves every 30 minutes, toy octopus and underwater jet is worth a visit.

Salt mines in Hallein
The salt mines in the Dürnberg near Hallein are the mine galleries of the resources for the city and the county of Salzburg. In the eldest visitors mines in the world, you will step into the over 2500 years old history of the white gold of the early centuries. Following the tracks of the Celts, who expoited salt here since 400 years before Chirst. You explore the mysterious world of the miners, who dug kilometers of mine galleries in the mountain. Nowadays young and old guests it's a great advetnure for young and old, learning about mining and having fun. The salt mines are open all year round in all weathers.

Ennstal Classic
from July 14th to 17th 2010
When 205 cars from the yerars 1921 to 1972 are cruising thorugh the most beautiful Austrian alpines regions with an in-between distance of 30seconds, that's a fascinating road-show, showing 50 years of car history within 102 minutes.
It's a mix of race legends, race- and ralley pros, top TV and management people with the showpieces and collector's items from the museums of Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, giving the grid its magic.

Downhill - biking in Schladming on the Planai
The track is built without damaging the enviroment and offert he ultimate downhill-experience for everyone. From sharp and steep bends and jumps to sheer passages, making your adrenaline level rise considerably.
You start at an height of 1830 m and the finish is in Schladming, the Planai-Olympia-Stadion at an height of 740m.
In the addition to this track, the original UCI Worldcup 4-Cross-track with many sharp and steep bands and tables is situated on the Planai as well.
For recrational bikers there is a family track from the upper station to the middle station, without the sheer passages. The bikes are transported by the Planai-lift. The maximum gradient is over 100% here. .
Downhill-Worldcup events take place in Schladming annually as well.
